Role Overview The Technical Artist Lead serves as the primary creative and operational liaison between the Meta AI Social team and the technical artists supporting social content production. This role is responsible for ensuring creative excellence, maintaining alignment with Meta AI's brand and social strategy, and facilitating collaboration with a team of talented artists producing content across all Meta AI social channels and platforms. In addition to coordination responsibilities, this role actively contributes to content creation—ideating, producing, and editing visual assets that bring Meta AI's social presence to life.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Hands-On Production ● Ideate, create, and edit video content and visual assets for Meta AI social channels, including vibes and other formats
● Co-develop creative concepts that align with monthly briefs and editorial priorities
● Execute high-quality graphics, animations, and visual storytelling pieces
● Iterate on content based on feedback from Creative Lead and Editorial Lead Team Leadership & Artist Management
● Serve as the main point of contact for all technical artists supporting the Meta AI Social team initiatives
● Provide creative direction, feedback, and mentorship to the artist team
● Manage artist workload, assignments, and priorities to meet publishing schedules
● Foster a collaborative and innovative creative environment Creative Review & Quality Assurance
● Review and evaluate artist pitches, providing constructive feedback and approvals
● Lead creative review sessions with the Meta AI social team to ensure alignment on visual direction and brand standards
● Ensure all creative output meets quality standards and brand guidelines before publication Strategic Creative Input
● Review monthly creative briefs and advise on creative direction, feasibility, and execution approach
● Collaborate with Creative Lead and Editorial Lead to translate strategic priorities into actionable creative guidance
● Identify emerging visual trends and techniques relevant to Meta AI's social presence Cross-Functional Collaboration
● Partner with Content Engineering and other internal teams to optimize workflows and tooling
● Communicate project status, blockers, and resource needs to stakeholders
● Support onboarding and integration of new artists into the team Process & Operations
● Establish and maintain creative workflows, asset management practices, and review processes
● Document best practices and create resources to improve team efficiency
● Track and report on creative output metrics and team performance
Qualifications Required
● Extensive experience in technical art, motion graphics, or digital content creation
● Proven experience collaborating with and coordinating creative teams
● Strong portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling for social/digital platforms
● Excellent communication and presentation skills
● Ability to provide clear, actionable creative feedback
● Experience working within brand guidelines and style systems Preferred
● Familiarity with AI-generated content and emerging creative technologies
● Experience with social media content production and platform-specific best practices
● Background in production pipelines and asset management systems
