Meta is seeking a Program Manager with experience working in Datacenters (DC) to join the DC Turn-Up Team. This team is responsible for bringing all new DCs online (serving traffic) through close coordination with Infrastructure Teams, Product Teams, and Software Platform Teams. This role facilitates the loading and activation of software stacks while managing the infrastructure dependencies required for server deployment. The team operates in a dynamic, highly cross-functional environment, collaborating with dozens of stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of complex DC projects. This is a temporary, contingent worker position and not a full-time employment opportunity with Meta.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate datacenter program initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery of software and infrastructure projects.
Oversee the integration of software stacks with physical infrastructure, including servers, cooling, power, network, and the supply chain for each.
Manage relationships and communications across multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, documentation, and status reports.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement in program execution.
Drive successful outcomes by actively managing cross-functional dependencies, data center & public cloud vendor tech milestones, mitigating risks, and adjusting scope, timeline, and resources as needed
Manage continuous improvement projects: Identify operational pain points and opportunities to improve business practices, and prioritize resources in the areas that will deliver the greatest impact.
Conduct process reviews to understand dependencies and define ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Accountable for identifying and overcoming end-to-end, cross-functional problems in technical domains across client and/or server infrastructure.
Lead execution and delivery of solutions to resolve business problems via strategic thinking and on-the-ground leadership.
Establish and track key metrics, quality benchmarks, and performance indicators to drive accountability and ensure effective cross-functional execution of program deliverables - Ramp quickly on hardware and software interdependencies to support project goals.
Minimum Requirements
Demonstrated experience (4-8 years) in datacenter operations and project management, with a strong understanding of software stack deployment and infrastructure dependencies.
Proven ability to work effectively in highly cross-functional organizations with multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience leading process engineering and/or automation efforts to support cross-functional partners in operationalizing and scaling efforts.
Experience defining detailed business requirements by engaging the business to capture clear functional design artifacts using techniques like use cases, systems and data diagrams and process flow diagrams.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new hardware and software environments.
