Social Lead, Wearables

Reality Labs Social is recruiting for a creative, analytical and strategic Social Lead to join our wearables team as a temporary maternity leave cover. As a driving force behind our wearables social content, you’ll bring our brand voice to life across platforms and be responsible for crafting compelling content that educates and inspires. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is able to juggle multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail, and has their finger on the pulse of social media trends, a keen eye for storytelling and a passion for consumer tech.

Key Responsibilities:

This role will be project-focused as we launch two new social channels - TikTok and YouTube.

  • Develop a TikTok strategy for a wearables product. Take our existing marketing and overall social strategy and adapt into a TikTok-first approach.
  • Pitch, develop, and plan breakthrough social content that showcases the value of Wearables specifically tailored for a TikTok audience.
  • Onboard creative agency who will handle the daily content for the TikTok channel.
  • Work with internal Content Studio partners on additional creative support, community management and publication.
  • Develop a YouTube strategy for a wearables product. Compile channel pillars, series concepts, casting and scripts.
  • Onboard creative agency who will handle the daily content for the YouTube channel.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will work closely with Social Media Manager on ongoing initiatives:

  • Ensure the content calendar is accurate, up to date and passes through the right approval channels.
  • Represent the wearables social team in multiple weekly XFN forums.
  • Partner with the International social teams to ensure their content strategy is aligned with our global approach.
  • Collaborate with Social Producers to optimize processes for seamless workflow.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent marketing experience
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in a social media role with hands-on experience managing a large brand’s social presence.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence strategic decisions.
  • Deep understanding of social marketing, creator, and content trends.
  • Fluent in the language of the internet, with a deep understanding of social platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy under pressure with many workstreams, projects, stakeholders, and processes.
  • Strong problem solving ability when facing pivots, challenges, and multiple layers of approvals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in innovative consumer product categories like consumer tech and/or AR/VR technologies, sports, fashion and culture brands.
