Retail Operations Data Manager

We are seeking a Retail Operations Manager out of the NYC office. In this role, the person will be responsible for planning, budgeting, communication, and reporting related to Channel Enablement Operations across both existing and future partners. The ideal candidate should have experience in retail marketing and financial operations, as well as proficiency in data analysis, dashboard creation, executive leadership decks and budget management.

The primary focus of the RL Retail Operations Manager is to ensure that all data, budgets, and records are accurately maintained and easily accessible. Visualization through dashboards and executive presentations is a key aspect. Additionally, mastery and oversight of reports are critical for efficient operations.

The role requires proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to assess and implement solutions. It is impact-driven, emphasizing accuracy and organization. The person collaborates across various teams, including channel marketing, finance, operations, sales, analytics, and external vendors, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:
Data management: Collect and clean data from various sources, including external data. Ensure data accuracy and integrity. Develop and maintain data budget vs forecast data models. Ensure data accuracy and consistency within the organization.
Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze forecasts including operating expenses and inventory data to uncover strategic trends and operational opportunities for the retail channel. Evaluate performance metrics such as sales, inventory, and customer engagement behavior.
Process Optimization and Efficiency: Establish consistent and customized processes based on business needs and requirements. Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of budget tracking and operational reporting for end users.
Collaboration and Communication: Partner with Retail Operations Financial Manager and other stakeholders. Lead and facilitate operational expense (OPEX) status meetings, communicating key updates and driving alignment on performance metrics.. Act as a liaison between global partners and finance operations teams. Create consistent data visualization reporting for weekly and monthly opex status meetings.
Decision-Making: Leverage partnerships with the finance, sales ops, data science and data engineering teams. Assess and provide detailed recommendations for balancing budgets. Ensure governance of all templates and provide timely direction for the budget planning process.
KPI Management and Budget Forecasting: Develop and maintain OPEX KPI management tools and dashboards. Collaborate on monthly and year end budget forecasting tracking vs plan for Channel Enablement global and regional teams. Create comprehensive reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
Operational Insights and Strategic Solutions: Analyze processes to improve performance for end users. Propose innovative solutions based on data-driven insights.

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of professional experience in retail, operations, finance, channel marketing analytics, or relevant experience.
Familiarity with retail partners and their guidelines/processes.
Experience within a brand managing analysis and budgets.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
Microsoft and Google Suite expert proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree ( Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Science)
Consumer Electronics experience.
Experience with Tableau, PowerBi, Alteryx, Hive, and other data visualization and customization tools.
Tableau Certified Data Analyst preferred.
