Creative Coder (Senior)
Role Mandate:
Technical Artist / Creative Coder is responsible for the technical aspects of creative asset development. This entails working closely with Design and Engineering to support and develop the production pipeline, develop shaders, and translate designs into code. The focus of the role will be building creative tools. There is a significant amount of production – shared writing and design development integration for things including filters, text effects, video transitions, and other types of creative elements.
Responsibilities:
Partner closely with engineers and designers to develop creative tools and translate design into code.
Create, prototype, profile and optimize custom shaders.
Design and manage technical production pipelines, including developing tools and functional prototypes.
Communicate strategic thinking and creative/technical decisions to a variety of partners.
Give and solicit feedback from partners in service of building the best products.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of professional experience shipping products with stringent runtime performance constraints.
Experience in shader languages (GLSL, Metal). MUST HAVE CREATED SHADERS FROM SCRATCH.
Experience in real-time content authoring (VFX/animation/lighting).
Experience in creative coding frameworks such as openFrameworks, Processing, Cinder, or Three.js.
Experience programming with JavaScript, Java, C++ or C#.
Experience collaborating on cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams.
Solid understanding of computer graphics fundamentals.
Portfolio that demonstrates technical skills and exceptional craft.

Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong creative problem-solving abilities.
Strong collaboration skills (cross-functional with designers, software engineers, etc.).
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Exceptional visual and technical craft.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience required
CS or Media Arts or Digital Media background are nice-to-have
