Summary:
The main function of a content curator is to aid in surfacing the best content and conversations on a platform. The typical curator will have excellent news judgment, a strong command of social media and a demonstrated understanding of breaking news, features, and how they inform social conversations.
Job Responsibilities:
• Curate best-in-class content, including credible news, entertainment and video content from a diverse set of publishers, broadcasters, public figures, and influencers
• Identify cultural trends across a diverse spectrum of topics
• Lead the weekend curation coverage, in addition to 2-3 days during the week
• Develop strategy and create plans for events and cultural moments
• Collaborate with our product teams to improve user experience
• Have the ability to work an extended schedule as news and cultural events require, including Saturday and Sundays on an extended basis
Skills:
• Experience in journalism
• Knowledge in video and digital news
• Excellent skill in writing and reporting
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelors degree required. Master's degree preferred.
